Land Protection Study Committee


Our goal is to preserve the natural heritage and rural character of Hollis by helping the town to protect permanently selected lands which meet specific criteria. These include visual appeal, agricultural value, water resources, trails potential, flora/fauna, woodlands and connection to existing conservation lands. We coordinate with other town committees to work with landowners to help them achieve their long term goals for protecting their land.


Usually, 2nd Monday of each month; 8:00am; Town Hall Community Room


8-10, appointed by selectmen

Criteria for Membership:

1. Understands the importance of preserving Hollis's rural character by protecting important lands; 
2. Committed to helping landowners achieve their goal of land protection;

3. Particular skills and experience that would be helpful, though not necessary, include marketing, journalism, grant writing, finance, legal or real estate
