Town clerk’s office in Hollis will be closed on Friday, April 19^th for State Training. 
IMPORTANT

Please make an appointment for new or new to you vehicles, needing plates, transferring plates, changing plates, adding trusts, Titles, bought out your lease, and if you are new to town.
 

Ways to do Renewals, dog licenses, boats:

• You can use our drop box, just drop a check in an envelope with your plate #'s that you are renewing, or the renewal paper we sent you, leave your phone number if you want to pick it up or a self-addressed, stamped envelope and we can mail it back to you.

• By mail, send a check made out to the TOWN OF HOLLIS, to: Town Clerk, 3G Market Place, Hollis, NH 03049. Include your license plate #'s or the renewal paper we sent you. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope and we will mail your renewal back to you.

• Walk-ins will be taken in between the appointments. Please do not make an appointment for a renewal.

To obtain a Marriage license, please email the Town Clerk at townclerk@hollisnh.org for an appointment.

For vital record requests, please order online, we will mail it to you or if you leave a phone number, we can call you when it is ready. You can also fill out the vital records form and mail it with a check and a copy of your driver's license to Town Clerk, 3G Market Place, Hollis, NH 03049 or you can use our drop box at 3G Market Place, leave your phone # so we can call you when it is ready or mail it to you.

For Temporary Plates – Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is recommending that you use their drop box on the outside of their building. You will need your bill of sale with a copy of your drivers' license, a $10 check made out to the State of NH - DMV with your contact number, mark it ASAP and they will call you to pick up a 20 day paper plate. If you bought a vehicle from a NH Dealership, you will need to bring your Certificate of Title Application (CTA) and your driver’s license. If you bought a vehicle from a private sale within NH or out of State you will need to bring the original Title signed over to you, the seller does not need to be at the appointment. If you want to transfer your current plate you NEED to bring your original registration from the vehicle you are transferring. The original has to go back to the State. The primary owner must remain the same on the new vehicle. If you do not have your current registration you will need to purchase a duplicate registration and the charge is $17.50. This is only if you want to transfer you plates, otherwise, you can pick a new plate when you are here. Please make an appointment, this could take up to 30 minutes to process.

Lost Registration - Fill out Application for Copy of Registration. Mail that to Town Clerk, 3G Market Place, Hollis, NH 03049,  with a self-addressed stamped envelope and a check for $17.50 made out to TOWN OF HOLLIS. You can also use the Drop Box with your phone number we will call you when it is ready for pickup. Walk-ins may have to wait until a window is free. 

Registrations and Decals lost in the mail - If you wait exactly one month from when it was registered, the DMV will replace it for free. If you want the Town Clerk to process it quickly the State requires a fee of $21.
